Dehumidifier

A dehumidifier lowers the water
content of the air, this can be useful in hydroponic grow rooms where too much moisture in
the air will encourage mould growth etc. They also serve another purpose. By reducing the
relative humidity of the growing environment it is possible to increase the transpiration
rate of the plants (the rate at which the water leaves the plant through the leaf) this
will increase the amount of water taken up by the plant.
In taking up more water the plant also takes up more nutrients and growth rate is
increased. This dehumidifier will remove up to 9.5L per day and has an integral 10L
storage tank, it is easy to plumb this into your system or waste to prevent emptying the
tank. The resultant water is effectively distilled water with no dissolved salts and as
such is a good base for a nutrient mix. Variable humidity switch. 820x300x250mm.
